10th Annual benefit for the Penns Valley Hope Fund

Wow! Our 10th year paying tribute to the mystical-foundational Anthology of American Folk Music. The event proceeds go to benefit the Penns Valley Hope Fund (http://pennsvalleyhopefund.com), a local homegrown organization that was created to assist families facing medical crises and/or personal disasters.  This organization has done some remarkable things in the last few years for people who really need help.

This year we are very excited to have Hubby Jenkins, headlining the festival.  In addition, the Festival features a series of bands playing songs from Harry Smith’s Anthology of American FolkMusic. Also playing will be Concept for the Execution, Hannah Taylor & the Rekardo Lee Trio, Eric Ian Farmer, and Chicken Tractor Deluxe.

The Bands & Performers:

Hubby Jenkins: Brooklyn born Americana musician extraordinaire and principal member of Grammy Award winning Carolina Chocolate Drops…

Eric Ian Farmer: returning for his second Harry Smith Festival performance, Eric Ian Farmer does soul music in the truest sense…

The Delverados: Central Pennsylvania punkabilly electric guitar freakout does hillbilly trance…

Hannah Taylor and the Rekardo Lee Trio: Hailing from Philadelphia, Hannah Taylor was born a little orphan girl to a black bear in the woods of Upstate New York. Hannah and the trio is rockabilly that makes the drunks dance…

Concept for the Execution: Featuring Kirk Scanlon from Austin Texas, Linda Ferguson from Baltimore Maryland, and a host of effects and circumstance – experimental music for experimental times…

Chicken Tractor Deluxe: The Harry Smith Festival host band and pullers of the strings drawing our roots from old 78 rpm records, rural church music, mountain murder ballads, classic country and honky tonk, string band and old time music, all run through the cosmic filter of predecessors and inspirants too many to list.

All to benefit the Penn Valley Hope Fund, one of the critical community based organizations whose whole mission is to help local people in need.

Please mark your calendars for this very special benefit.
